Antonia de Jongh Memorial Foundation

Our beautiful daughter Antonia, was strong and brave and an inspiration to everyone who met her. With her engaging personality and winning smile, she had the ability to impact the life of everyone she met. She was always very much “her own person”, and lived life to the fullest of her ability, but always strictly on her own terms. Nicknamed “The Princess” by those closest to her, she had a way of making the world delightfully and willingly spin around her.

She enjoyed traveling with us, and loved the beauty of nature – especially trees. She lived in and for music and had a brilliant memory and ability to work anything electronic, I-pads, CD players etc. If she was surrounded by her family of teddy bears and had her two I-pads she was happy wherever we were.

Sadly, our Princess never got to live in the beautiful home we had prepared for her to live in with some friends.

Housing is such a huge problem for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities that we are forming a Foundation in Antonia’s name to assist the housing and also day programming needs of other young adults with disabilities.
