Ben Lucas Memorial Fund

The Ben Lucas Foundation was established in 2015 to commemorate and celebrate the life and legacy of a family member and friend gone too soon. By joining forces with  The ARCHway Institute through an endowment fund in Ben’s honor, we continue the good fight he began. The BLF will provide on-going support and financial assistance to individuals who cannot afford a recovery program through an Endowment Fund created with ARCHWay. Our initial goal is raise $25,000, which ARCHWay will appropriate to individuals who successfully apply for treatment assistance. ARCHWay vets both applicants and treatment centers, and manages the funds to ensure proper governance and the Endowment’s objectives are pursued.

The ARCHway Institute for Mental Health and Addictive Disorders was created two years ago by a number of folks in recovery, caregivers of those in recovery or to someone they lost to an addiction, and professionals in the field from across the country. This group has three basic goals. The first is to change the stigma associated with these diseases through education and awareness to the issues with a focus on individuals, families and communities. The second is to raise money to help individuals who want to get into recovery but do not have the funds to do so. The third goal is to support medical research in this area to help provide better treatments in the future. ARCHway currently works in three states and is expanding to seven in 2016. There is a significant gap in supporting individuals seeking recovery due to the limited number caregiving facilities and the high costs associated with a treatment program.

  • All of ARCHway’s Board & Staff are volunteers and receive no compensation for their work
  • All ARCHway Board Members & Staff actively support ARCHway through personal donations and personally volunteering their time.
  • ARCHway became a recognized 501 (c)3 Non-Profit Organization in July of 2014.
