The friends of the late Dr. Chinweike Okegbe have put together a $2,000 tuition scholarship in his honor. Chinwe was a high-performing undergraduate student of the Howard University Biology department. He excelled academically and in academic related research work. He was also deeply involved in International student organizations and societies during his time at Howard.

Though his life was cut short soon after he completed his Ph.D. degree in biology with distinction from Columbia University, he imparted positively on the lives of his friends – academically and socially. As a result, this scholarship has been setup to uphold his legacy at Howard University where his friendship with us all began.
