Craig W. Johnson Memorial Fund

The Craig W. Johnson Memorial Fund, established in 2020, is a tribute to the memory of Craig Wallace Johnson. On May 16th, 2020 after a long and courageous battle with depression Craig took his own life. Craig was a father, grandfather, son, brother, friend, and human being who felt more deeply than most. That led him to find the beauty that others did not see and pain that others did not feel. While he felt deeply, words sometimes came difficult to him and he naturally gravitated to art for expression and release. Craig also valued education as a way to improve oneself and those around you. He always prioritized family and welcomed everyone into his life. We will forever see him in our children’s eyes, hear him in the crack of summer thunder rolling in, and miss him with all of our hearts.

Scholarship Details

While we are not yet sure what the goal of this fund will be we are looking into suicide awareness and prevention non-profits, a scholarship for an emerging artist, or a dedication at Centre College – an institution that meant so much to him. We will provide updates to donors as decisions are made
