This annual scholarship is in memory of Teri Owen, the beloved College Guidance Counselor at Taft High School in Woodland Hills, CA.

Teri was a strong believer in the value of public education. This scholarship will provide financial support to graduating and former Taft High School students who wish to go on to obtain a college education in a public institution.

The amount of the award will vary depending on number of students awarded a scholarship and availability of scholarship funds. However, the expected minimum award is $1000.

About Teri Owen

She provided students the guidance they needed while helping them identify potential colleges, degrees available, and financial assistance programs. She also coordinated the school’s college testing programs and senior awards.
