Benjamin Lau Memorial Fund

The Benjamin Lau Memorial Fund was created in 2023 to honor the legacy of Dr. Benjamin Lau. Dr. Lau was a Professor, Researcher, and Physician, and at his core he was an educator. As a passionate advocate for higher education, part of his life mission was to assist students who needed help academically and financially. As an immigrant himself, he experienced the challenges faced by many international students desiring to study in the United States. Throughout his career, he helped to sponsor numerous international students so they could receive US college degrees.

The family of Benjamin Lau has set up this Memorial Fund to honor the legacy of Dr. Lau. Awards to qualified low income international students seeking undergraduate college study in the US will be given on an annual basis. Preference will be given to students accepted to accredited Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) colleges and pursuing the arts.
