Thank You

Our family would like to thank all the wonderful people that came on for the 1st annual “BeLikeGee” golf tournament.  The turnout and support was tremendous.  Thanks to the Suquamish Tribe and White Horse Golf Club for making this a reality.  To one of our dearest friends/fam Jason Trichler, thanks for getting this foundation set up and thanks to Bruce Christy for working with you from start to finish.
There was no question as to if Gee was present.  We saw him in the clouds, we saw him in all the great drives, the chips, the putts, and all the high flying golf balls. Under the wings in the clouds on the 18th hole (his favorite and the one he birdied the most) not only did Dad but both his brothers Miles and Derek Jr., and Mr Jason too all made 15-20 ft putts. Im sure he guided those balls for us as that was a simple putt for him.
It was a very emotional day but also a very proud day and to know our Gee will be honored for his contribution to the game and the sport. He was so excited to head to high school this fall and play on the Kingston High School golf team. Now he may not be there physically, but through his foundation,  he will be there in spirit and the support it receives will be put to good use for our high school team and Kingston area youth wanting to excel in education and the sport of golf. In his honor a new set of clubs, a private lesson,  a contribution to a college scholarship fund, or equipment for the HS team will be just some of what will be possible throughout the years to come. We hope that the event even grows in the years to come!
Again we thank you and Gee thanks you.
Love to all of you for honoring our Gee.
