Emma’s Helping Heart, the ESD Memorial Fund was established in loving memory of Emma Shay Doxsee. At the young age of 17, Emma’s life was tragically lost through suicide. Even in her passing, Emma continues to teach us so much about life. She was a beautiful person who took pride in making a difference in the lives of others. Emma’s helping heart was created as a way to support causes that we feel honor Emma’s legacy. Emma always saw life as an adventure. We hope to perpetuate the spirit and character of her by helping to inspire local teenagers to find their own path in life.
The ESD Memorial Fund is a nonprofit organization whose primary focus is promoting education regarding suicide prevention, helping those impacted by suicide, as well as other issues confronting our teens today. Through various charities and programs, we can help to create a more beautiful community where teens and families can support one another.
