Gayle M Niggemann Memorial Fund

The Gayle M. Niggemann Memorial Fund was established in September, 2011 to carry on her giving ways in the community. Throughout her 37 years as a Wauconda resident Gayle was involved in a number of athletic organizations including: the Wauconda Area Youth Soccer Club, the Wauconda Chiefs Soccer Club, Lakes Youth Athletics Association, Northern Ice Fastpitch. She also served on the boards of the Wauconda School District Parent Teacher Organization, Wauconda High School Boosters Club, and the Wauconda Fire Protection District. In some small way by building this fund in her name, Gayle M. Niggemann, though gone from this life, is not gone from ours, and will continue to give to the Wauconda Community.

The fund has been established specifically to fund a scholarship to be awarded each year to a graduating senior attending Wauconda Community High School to assist with the costs of further education. The award recipient, a student athlete, must demonstrate a commitment to; athletics, academics, and community involvement.

It is the intent of the fund administrators to occasionally make individual grants to organizations and causes within the community when deemed appropriate.
