Julia Hannah Berv Dahlgard Memorial Fund

The Julia Hannah Berv Dahlgard Memorial Fund, established in 2024, is a tribute to the memory of Julia, whose passion, caring-nature, determination, and joy guided and treated patients of all ages suffering from cancer and other illnesses for many years before her sudden passing.

As a Physician Assistant, Julia cared for her patients beyond their illness; she healed and treated their spirits and sense of hope. She was a passionate clinician and person, volunteering off normal work hours for charities and writing articles in healthcare. She treated others the way she would want to be treated, and she learned this through her own health difficulties through the years. Julia was brilliant, creative and persistent. She advocated fiercely for her patients and everyone she loved, with a gift to understand and connect with everyone.

The proceeds from this memorial fund will go towards an annual award to a healthcare clinician whose life and work exemplify Julia’s qualities of kindness, intelligence, advocacy, curiosity, resilience and humor in their everyday work.  We may also use the fund to contribute to a charity or research project that was meaningful to Julia.

In addition to donating below, please also consider nominating a clinician(s); i.e physician assistant, nurse practitioner or physician, who exemplify the above qualities. We anticipate an award ceremony for the clinician chosen in late 2025 and will be in touch with more information on this website.
