Lee Sison Memorial Fund

Lee Sison was a beloved teacher, mentor, friend, colleague, and coach to thousands over his 16 years at Casillas Elementary.  Lee passed away on August 24th leaving all that knew him in disbelief.  For those that really knew Lee, he was more than just an outstanding coach.  He was an advocate for all children and sought out to do whatever was needed to support them.  Whether it be showing up to support them in athletics and music performances, Lee was always available.  Likewise, Lee would literally give away clothes to kids that needed it.  Never once did Lee ever seek out individual praise for his actions.  He only asked that kids “pay it forward” when they had the means to do so.

The intended beneficiaries for the fund are kids.  Whether they play sports, an instrument, or are in need.  The goal is to provide kids an opportunity that they otherwise would not have had. Opportunity is different for every child.  Lee supported EVERY child while teaching, coaching, and mentoring throughout his 16 years at Casillas.  We will never know exactly how many kids Lee impacted. Yet, we will know that through this fund he will continue to impact them well beyond his own time with us.
