Britt Johnston Memorial Scholarship
The Beyond the Cloud Memorial Scholarship was created in 2020 to honor Britt Johnston’s legacy; a passionate technologist, distinguished engineer, innovative thinker, loyal husband, loving father, doting Papa, patient coach, generous friend, and so much more. Britt was very passionate about many things, especially cloud computing, big data, open source, internet of things, artificial intelligence, and responsible hacking. He was also passionate about giving back to the community and donating his time whenever possible. His enthusiasm for technology was infectious and motivated everyone around him to want to learn more. Britt had two important mottos: “always leave things better than how you found them” and “never stop learning”.
