The Paul Nappi Fund

Looking forward to celebrating Paul in 2021 & raising more money for families facing cancer.

We are pleased to announce some of the steps we’ve taken towards our mission of supporting families suffering from cancer during this holiday season. We are sending money to three families for Christmas gifts.  Paul loved to put a smile on everyone’s face this time of the year. We were also able to provide assistance with utilities and expenses to four additional families.
Any donation that can be made to help us further assist some of these families would be incredibly appreciated. We understand that these times are difficult. If you are unable to donate, we urge you to take a moment and be present with those you love – whether it’s in person or via zoom call. Take a moment to appreciate the beautiful moment in front of you and know that you will cherish it♥️

The Paul Nappi foundation was created to honor the memory of Paul Nappi, who fought a courageous battle with terminal cancer for nearly four years. Paul lost his battle on July 2, 2018 at age 53. He was a devoted son, husband, loving father, and most loyal brother and friend to all who knew him. He was known by many for his brilliant mind, his photographic memory, his contagious sense of humor, but most notably, his exceptional heart. Although he was wise beyond his years, his family used to say he was a kid at heart. He had a fondness for video games, movies, and comic books. Several months before his passing, he was gifted a superman cape that went with him to every hospital stay, rehab stay, and even a few days at home. Anyone that knew him would agree that, although he couldn’t fly or lift cars, he absolutely had super strength. The Paul Nappi foundation was created to give us an opportunity to channel that strength and help support other families that have a loved one fighting a battle with cancer.

Paul was lucky to have a diligent wife who worked tirelessly to make sure that he was receiving the best level of care – whether it be making sure his protein shakes were the flavor he liked or sharing her own personal notepad with his doctors to ensure that they knew every detail of his care. His daughters eventually followed in her footsteps as well to ensure that nothing was missed. During the last six months of his life, there were many scares and many nights that made Leisa and the girls wary of leaving the hospital. Paul and his family were incredibly blessed to have friends that worked out a schedule to make sure that there was always hotel for Leisa, Allie, and Bella to stay in that was down the block from the hospital. They could stay there on the nights that were more stable, and at the very least, it gave them a place to shower and change clothes. They prepared a basket of healthy food and toiletry essentials for them and would even help with doing laundry. Their incredible support system took care of everything for the family and allowed them to wake up every morning ready to focus one hundred percent of their energy on Paul.

Our mission is to provide resources to the family members and caregivers of those that are battling cancer. The Paul Nappi foundation intends to partner with hotels that are located near hospitals to provide a place for family members to stay while their loved ones are hospitalized. This would include providing breakfast and sending care packages to those families during their stay to provide some of the necessities that we found to be helpful during our difficult battle with Paul.

One can never prepare for the difficulties that come with caring for a loved one with cancer – both financially and emotionally. From the moment Paul was diagnosed, we were blessed with an outpouring of incredible support that often carried us through the most difficult times. There is nothing that can take away the pain and the emotional stress that comes with fighting this disease with a loved one, but there are small things that can make it easier to get through the day.  The Paul Nappi Foundation is a path for us to provide support for the families of patients to fall back on so that they can make their own superheroes’ fight a little bit easier.
