About Pam

Pam Courtney, also known as Ms. Pam and Aunt Pam, has been an EXTRAORDINARY person in the lives of generations of families at Hubert H. Bancroft Elementary in the Sacramento City Unified School District, College Glen Community, and her family and friends.

Pam was a selfless champion for others in her daily life – always positive, always present, always the cheerleader, and always smiling. Pam gave to everyone expecting nothing in return, just that you tried your best to persevere and grow in your love for yourself and others.

Pam was unstoppable.

Pam lived the way she did because she chose never to let her condition dictate her joy. She chose to live in the now and have the most extensive quality world she could build to have the most people, experiences, and shared passions around her.

Pam’s passion for life and passion for others became her purpose. Pam was able to do everything because she lived with purpose. Pam’s purpose was for all of us. It was about pursuing the greatest of all: love. Pam’s purpose was to love all of us.

Pam’s Legacy

To continue her legacy in the Bancroft and College Glen community, the Pam Courtney Foundation has established a memorial fund.

Pam’s beacon of light shined on everyone who crossed paths with her. This light must continue and be shared for many future generations.

It would be an honor and a privilege for the community she selflessly committed herself to for many decades and across multiple generations to be a part of this EXTRAORDINARY legacy foundation.

The Pam Courtney Foundation intends to continue her legacy and love of sports and the arts.

The Memorial Fund’s goals will be:

  • To help offset the costs of membership fees for families that play sports in the College Glen community, such as soccer clubs and Little Leagues.
  • Support the talent show financially at Hubert H. Bancroft in the Sacramento City Unified School District.
  • In the future, provide annual scholarships to Hubert H. Bancroft graduates pursuing higher education in education, sports management, or arts-related fields to support their efforts to pursue a given aspiration.

Miss Pam’s Here!

Miss Pam’s Here! is more than a children’s book series. It’s a movement to carry forward the powerful legacy of Pam Courtney, a beloved teacher, torchbearer, and everyday hero who lit up the lives of thousands of children and families in Sacramento’s College Glen community.

Through fun, inspiring, and heart-filled stories based on real moments from Pam’s extraordinary life, the “Miss Pam’s Here!” series teaches kids what Pam taught every day in her P.E. classes:

💛 How to lead with kindness
💪 How to be brave, even when life is hard
🎨 How to use their talents to lift up others
🌟 How to live with purpose and joy, no matter the circumstances

Whether it was organizing school talent shows, cheering from the sidelines, or simply greeting each student with a smile, Miss Pam made everyone feel valued and important. Now, her lessons are here to inspire a new generation through storytelling, community, and love.
