The Zacharius Memorial Fund

Created in loving memory, of Zachary (Zacharius) R Smith, a beautiful man, now weightless and free, forever in our hearts.

The Zacharius Memorial fund was established to continue the legacy of Zach’s limitless, inspirational spirit and imagination. He lived and loved generously, demonstrating a brilliant mind and truly humble nature. He spent his life crafting and sharing his unique visions and philosophy through his artistic accomplishments, mystical poetry, musical collaborations and indefatigable explorations.
The mission of The Zacharius Memorial Fund is to support at risk and under-served youth through awarding scholarships, supporting worthy community-based art and music organizations, and individual gifts of art supplies and musical instruments to aspiring, creative, underserved individuals.
Zacharius was transcendental artist, profound creator and unifying force to all who had the privilege of knowing him. Zach was compelled from his inner depth of being to generate art, poetry and music. He expressed a level of multi-dimensionalistic thought in drawings, paintings, clay and metal and word smithing that were surreal and evocative. Equivalent to his compulsion to create was his desire to inspire others to do the same. For self-exploration, for journeys of transcendental discovery, for therapy or simply for fun.
Zacharius inspired, amazed and united people of all walks of life. He was a kindred spirit and the cosmic brother of Artists, Musicians, Writers, Scholars, Academics, Spiritualists and Tradesman, alike. He influenced countless persons with his indisputable creative joy and, very often, he changed lives. He found the most delight in sharing his talents and motivating young, often disadvantaged, people to follow and heal their hearts and to find expression through visual art and music.

Through the Zacharius Memorial fund and the generosity of Zach’s family friends and world community we are dedicated to keeping his spirit and memory alive by providing support to young people who will benefit in their development, help them to overcome trauma, abuse and poverty, and achieve their greatest potential through their creative endeavors.
Your generous gift of any amount is greatly appreciated.
