The Big Ben Memorial Giving Fund, established 2022, is a tribute to the memory of Benjamin “Big Ben” Price. Ben was a supporter of spending time and making memories through sports and outdoor activities and was a youth sports coach for many years. Throughout his working life, he observed and experienced the need for more hands on job training such as mechanics and technicians and felt you should absolutely specialize in a trade if you do not have a “higher education” calling. Near the end of his life, as a patient, he was blessed to have access to much needed equipment that helped with quality of life but was not necessarily “a need” as far as insurance was concerned. Distributions from this fund will be made, as availability allows, to Pike County Youth Sports, educational assistance for surviving children of an unexpected loss and for technical career training, and/or to fill gaps in home health needs. Big Ben gave of his time, self and assistance freely and often. The example he set in life will live on in our hearts and through the assistance we can give in his absence.
